Ultra Runner, Coureurs de Bois, RMT, Photographer Matt’s passion for health and wellness came long before launching his career as an RMT. An elite level volleyball player, Matt rekindled his passion for the health sciences through trail running. Having competed now for more than 4 years in trail events across North America, covering race distances of 10km to 80km Matt has gained a deep understanding and appreciation for the needs of endurance athletes and their bodies.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Spending time with my Family and Friends at my cottage in Ontario’s cottage country
What is your greatest fear?
Being injured and alone in the wilderness.
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
A group of young men in the mid 1800’s called ‘Overlanders’ They did a 3500km journey from eastern Canada to the Caribou region of BC in search of adventure wealth and prosperity. Some made it some turn back and some died on the way, I would like to think I could have made it!

My outdoor gear collection.

A pound of bacon covered in maple syrup.

Who are your heroes in real life?
WWII Veterans. (WWI as well but unfortunately none are with us any longer)

Trails anywhere in Wells Grey Provincial Park.
